yo... this is the first time i blogged since the start of the new yr!!

haiz... alot of stuff seems to be bothering me the few days... but i jus can't figure out wat is it?? hmm.. can u guys tell me? hahah.. jus joking... has not been very happy these few days....=( but hey... life's stll haf to go on.. so why not stay happy ya? haha... one's got to be optimistic... tts one of my principle in life...

haha... been writing a story... jus for fun... and something for me to do when i'm bored... hahha... will let u all noe when it is finished.... (hope wun be too illegible to u all lah.. lolx)

oh ya.. been also starting to diet.... had npt been eating lunch these few days... ya ya.. i noe skipping lunch is nt good.... but i see this as a desperate measure... my urge for "unhealthy" food is too great.. so i decided to be drastic to myself.... haha... but strangely... i wun feel hungry even if i nvr take my lunch... jus only a little hint of it...

yup.. its finally here...its a new yr! and i do haf some new goals and resolutions for tis yr... hope i can fulfil them all... (i HOPE) haiz...nowadays been feeling strange though... i cannot really feel happiness nowadays...dunno why.. theres something weighing down my heart... haiz... jus hope i can find the solution to this prob of mine...

Nevertheless, life's got to move on... i look forward to the new challenges that this yr will or probably throw at me... haha...

on a peaceful 26th december morning, all was well.... then at 9+ in the morning.... devastation came....

a tsunami had struck....

the tsunami was caused by an earthquake near indonesia.... sending waves of destruction in all directions.... houses were ripped off their foundations and sweeping away unsuspecting people.... many had died... many were injured or missing.... with the death toll nearing 100,000, it is clear that how much damage this natural tyrant had caused....

when is first saw tis thru news at night, seeing those people crying agony in front of their loved ones... sadness was all that filled my heart.... the tsunami had struck several places in asia.. tis includes: phuket, sri lanka, maldives, bangladesh and somalia... frightening

so PLS DO DONATE and help the victims of this natural disaster...

ok.. been quite some time sinced i last blogged... been busy with sch work... haha final sem liao dun play play ah.. ahaha... but to my surprise the modules in this sem is quite ok for me... haha... hope tis spells good news to me!! haha... And christmas is nearing, woo hoo~ always liked it at xmas.. theres this calm feeling that comes inside of me during this special occassion.. maybe its the ever so white snow and snow flakes that this day reminds me of.. haha...

hi all.. phew~ its been 4 days since i started my dieting routine... tell u.. ITS HARD! but i persevere... and noe wat? i lost abt 1.5kg.. haha.. quite happy...

pls dun misunderstand... i'm not using the old fashioned way where ppl don't eat anything at all... i am comsuming meal replacement... where i consume watery food.... be it enzymes or fibre... haha... when my family eat out, i can only see and drool.... cos i am not supposed to eat anything except the meal replacements... haha... but i'll be stopping on the 5th day.. woo hoo~! one more day i can eat again... ahhaa but will control...

been very bored these few day... so nth to write liao.. cya ard guys!

... And i passed all my modules!... so happy~ i was very afraid of a particular module... but i passed it! so surprised... haha... i immediately jumped out of my chair the moment i saw my result... woo hoo~

haha... with the results cleared, i look forward in meeting my frens in the chalet in 2 weeks time... toking abt my frens... 3 of them was recently robbed in JB, Malaysia... thank goodness they were not hurt... but they lost their handphones and money.. poor thing~ i wished i could help them... but i also haf my own prob... haha... hmm...
and also spking of m'sia.. i going there too... on the 4th... fuck! i hate that country... dunno why.. jus hate it.. and tt happened, it just makes me to despise them more... really dun feel like going... but dunno why singaporeans like to go there... ARGH!!! and bcos of that... i had to do alot of unnecessary stuff for my passport... so troublesome.. fuk malaysia! suck my dick MALAYSIA!!

yo... today went to the motorshow 2004 in suntec city with chye, xiang, yong fui, patrick and SM... it was quite good.. lots of fantastic cars and babes... keke.... i took alot of pics of cars.... especially my fav - mazda and porche! absolutely cool...
we reached there at abt 2? i cannot really recall... haha... we bought tickets and went up to the 4th storey exhibition hall... the first model brand we saw was subaru - SM's fav... we wondered ard, looking into car interiors and engine and stuff... not forget babe ogling... hahaha... after that to other model brand and we stopped at the mazda section.. the cars were great there! design were good, the cars were good... haha...
and then... i saw a lady... a pretty one...haha... shes not a model, jus a staff of a company section... but i went n and did sumthing very stupid... i went up to her.... and asked if i could take a picture of her.... hahaha... she was kinda shocked... then she tried to call her other colleaugue to take with her.. haha.. but in vain... so she just went back into the section... sort of hide... lolx.. so pai say! hahah.. i quickly turned back and left... hahahhahaha.... nvm.. then i went back... jus nice azda was giving out big carrier bags with posters in it... we all took one... haha the bag was HUGE... but we still held on to it... after that.. we went to the other end where the bikes were... then we saw tis bike babe... she was stunning... my friend snatched away my camera and tokk pics of her... hahaha.. hory bastard lolx... then i went up and saw the amphibious car.. a car then can drive on the road as well as on the water... too bad its jus a concept... not to be manufactured...

then we went up to the 6th storey... where more cars can be found... but was quite boring... al the old brands... except for one brand.. i will nvr get bored of...PORCHE!! carrera, carrera GT, boxter s, 911... woo hoo~! after that, we decided to leave...still remember the huge bags we got earlier??? haha.. we took the poster and left the bags in a neat row jus outside the exhibition hall... hahaha... stun... hahaha...

then i quickly bid farewell to my frens and i rushed home for my show... ahaha last episode cannot miss...

hi all!! my semester exams jus ended.... i am now relaxing and typing tis blog... haha.

with tt... i shall start....

Exams... part and parcel of life for those who school here... remember those stressful days where u haf to slog it out for the few ever-so-hard questions on a piece of paper?? remember those heart wrenching moments when u recieve your report book from ur teacher?? well.. i remember those times.... very vividly... haha...
now that i'm in a tertiary institution, though we still have exams and tests, i look back and ask myself this question "Is examinations that necessary??? can a piece of paper really determine ur capabilities in the society??" think abt it ppl....
I find it strange... u see.. u studied for a module or subject.. and u took the paper and come out... then u try to recall wat u haf learned.. u may be able to recall most of them... but i bet u are going to forget parts here and there... and these parts will increase as the days passed... in the end... u forget everything, except for some important points here and there.... isn't this a loss of purpose of an exams?? this may not apply to some students.. but for those whom i encountered. most of the ppl i met, or probably everybody had been doing this, they are so called "memorising" the notes... word by word sometimes... and this is frightening. when i study with my frens, we do ask questions, but the questions they ask make me felt strange, for example, say the steps in answering questions of a past year paper.... without trying to understand how and why the steps are done, wat they ask is like "so just like this and like that can already lah? right?"... i shuddered at those questions... my god. students now are memorising their stuff and they just simply forget after that....so wats the use of an exam???

And studying long hours, can cause stress build up, and everyone knows stress can bring in illnesses...like the flu or fever... one may fall sick very easily during these times and wat makes matters worse, they have papers to sit for... so when the day comes, they may not be in a good condition to take the paper... this might seriously affect their performance... u might think "take a mc leave and take a re test" yes... we haf retest in the past. but now, the "committee" wants to shorten the break so that the o lvl student wun waste their time while waiting an entry into tertiary institutes, this caused us our retest. once u are absent for an paper bcos of sickness, u r going to fail for the paper and forward the module, and tt means another extra 6 mths for the module. if u were well prepared for the paper but u were jus too sick to take the paper and bcos of that u have to spend another 6 mths to study something u noe already... sad isn't it? food for thought eh??

can just a few days of exams really determine ur capability? with the 2 factors i mentioned, i DUN THINK SO... wat i feel is, we should be accessed on our daily performance in sch through school work and projects... not exams and tests.....

hello... has been busy with my exams lately.. so did not blog for a while... had my first paper on tuesday... it was the Fluid mech paper. haha... it went quite smooth and this is the first paper that i noe how to attemp all the question. i shld say i am very satisfied abt the start of my papers...

tmr i'll be having my second paper, mech 3. this is a hard module, i hope i am able to tackle the questions like i did for fluid mech paper... haha... sometimes i wonder why must schools have examination?? haha... but no choice.. tis is part and parcel of life in singapore... how PRAGMATIC....

and also been physically tired nowadays... dunno y,, maybe its the studying, i guess. yah spking of studying...i must say the school is the best place to study... nowadays been studying with my frens in poly... it was fun and yet we were able to study wat we want to study... there is no feeling of stress...

its been a while since i last published my last entry.... Sorry.. i've been busy...

now in third yr already.... lotsa stuff to do... homework, tests, experiments, projects, presentations, and lastly, FINAL YEAR PROJECT!!! Been quite stressed up nowadays... with exams ard the corner, it only makes matters worse.. haiz~

Recently one fren of mine let me watched a gruesome clip whereby a US prisoner was beheaded live and in front of the camara.... as the words suggest.... its disgusting.... darn! when will the terrorist stop??? i really felt sorry for those who died under the hands of terrorism.

back home.... many things bothered me... some small some big....but wat bothered me the most is the final year project. there is one member that i'm kinda tired of... HE HAS NO BLOODY INITIATIVE! CANNOT EVEN THINK FOR 1 SEC... GOT PROBLEM HE WILL ASK STRAIGHT AWAY... FUCK!

phew~ sorry... the thought of him made me boil... so tired.. hope all these will just pass and i have time to breath...HAIZ~

yo its me again... haha.... recently i and my fren went to a fast food restaurant. as they were having some promotion and had been giving out coupons, the place was especially packed with ppl who had come for the promotion. haha... it is obvious that we are not able to get any seats. my fren was frustrated and kinda swore at them... haha.. u might feel strange abt tis but allow me to explain further... the restaurant is usually less packed during normal days except whens there is an offer going on.

its not the first time that fast food outlets to be giving out coupons in fact its quite common and the topic i'm talking abt is not abt the coupons either.... it is abt what singaporeans do best - KIASUISM.

haha... the situation mentioned above is one of the example of such behaviour. whens theres no offer, most of the ppl will give it a miss as the price was slightly costly than the coffeeshop food. But when theres an offer, the ppl flocked into the outlets like ants.

this might not be a strong argue point of such behaviour... ok then lets look at other things then... as you all know that sometimes see shops giving out complimentary stuff, samples stuff like that.... and mostly that will be the most crowded place in the shops, ppl waiting to take something of minute value or even not knowing what they are taking. they just take it for the sake of taking... some may even resort to violence to get the items... haha.. as i will say "as if they will make u a better man like that".... lolx... when i look at these ppl, i will laugh...

take another example... the joss sticks offerings at guan yin temple every chinese new year... every year i would never fail to see ppl squeezing and pushing just to plant their joss sticks onto the joss sticks urn and ppl ending up injured. wouldn't it be nice that ppl queue up and take turns to place their joss sticks on to the urn? trying to rush for the auspicious hour? cmon, pushing won't quicken the pace, it only slows down the pace. if the ppl go in orderly, it will be done in a shorter time...

so those who read this, think abt it... is it worth it??

Long time since i last blogged... hehe... my com still battle ridden... poor com... :( haha... well.. many things things to tok abt... recently bought an album of jay chou... hmm.. the songs were very nice... i should say tis album is one of his best. hehe... sian... nowadays school was quite stressful, final yr project, presentations, experiments( especially that cleanroom lab!!! the CLEAN ROOM SUIT!!! argh!) u cannot really breathe properly behind the mask... haha...

haha... just thought of a subject: SMOKING... lets tok abt it then... haha... i have frens tt smoke.. some are passive and some regular smokers... in sch, when they have the time, they will head down to the basement below the food court and start to light up sticks of poison... ok in short, cigarettes. haha... they are not the only ones smoking there, several groups were there too. they mixed around and became aquaitances.... haha.. now imagine a grp of more than 10 ppl smoking at a same time.... get the picture?? haha... i've been wondering is smoking tt good and enjoyable? one of my frens even said "life is short, so why not?" and another said "i dun smoke too often, so it wun do any harm?" hmmm... after listening to these words, i was truly disgusted. Life is short? u can do even more meaningfull things than smoking... smoking SHORTENS your life even more instead.... a stick of grass containing 13mg of tar... with this amount, i think can kill a small animal in a short period of time.... imagine that kind of damage done to human body... one stick is doing a considerable amount of damge to the body....

sigh~ why ppl wan to torture themselves?? smoking gives u bad breath, bad teeth, bad mind, bad smell, bad lungs, bad health....... i can go on and on..... all the disadvantages and how abt the advantages?? None. i feel sad when i see them smoke... advise them, the advice falls on shut ears.. haha... watever.. its their lives, not mine... i nave no control...

wat a memorable gathering!

yo! yesterday we had a class gathering in the ECP. it was my ex secondary classmates gathering... so happy to see them all again.. been 2 years since i last saw most of them... reached ECP with my fren at abt 7+.. or was it 6+.. hmm.. cannot really recall.. nvm.. after we reached there, we went abt to buy ice packs which they have requested... at first searched the NTUC fairprice... there were none... so we made a long trek to the 7-eleven at the ecp... after tt... we head for the barbeque pit.... hahaha... we walked for a hell of a distance... i think we can hit the 3km mark easily... haha

by the time we got there, we were all sweaty and the ice had already starting to melt. haha.. we were all happy to see each other... each exchanging words of concern... we settled down and had a chat.. the feeling was great! it was not long that my old fren, firdaus, asked me to kick the ball... and so i did. and frm then on, the ball practically stuck to our legs... but of cos, we had breaks and a chat or 2 with our old classmates... i eventually got physically tired so i went back and sat down and helped myself to the food. yummy!

i liked it at the beach.... it was windy, cool... with the accompanying sound of splashing waves... it gives me the calm feeling in me. hahaha, soon it was nearing midnight, that fren of mine got up and suggested we play soccer again... and i dunno why.. we did. it was great! we had a wonderful time... until the moment i fell down. i wasn't bleeding much but my frens all think tt i shld rest... but i was fine.. even raring to go... but no words can persuade them. DARN! why am i so clumsy?? haha.. then we played cards and chatted away.

at abt 4.30am, i couldn't take it anymore, i went to one of the benches and slept. but it was not long afterwards tt i woke up... the bench was too hard and i was aching... haha...then i got up and went to rest room and had a wash up and a change of clothes. at abt 7++, we bid farewell and left with my other frens.

haha... i was happy. i hope to see them all again.. cheers.. HAIL to 5N1 of 2002 of Serangoon Sec!!!!!

today is my first day of work that i'm late.. but luckily my supervisor was on leave for the day... haha nothing much happened today actually... kinda bored though...

wth!!!!! portugal lost to Greece!! my god... yah yah.. i watched it... and its a disaster... the host of the EURO 2004 lost to much weaker side... at kick off the host were sloppy in their play... and tis gave the opponent a chance to sneak in and score 7 mins into play.. wth cannot believe it...

aniway, the match kept me into the wee hours in to the night, by then its 2 in the morning... i briefly clean up and went back to slp... but i was unable to slp... i also dunno why... i practically didn't sleep for the rest of the night.

early in the morning @ abt 7.30 am, i was awakened by my mother... today's my dad's company's family day.. and we gotta go. haha.. even though i didn't so sleep... the fatigue still lingers... and believe me.. its not good at all... with you feeling tired and haf to go someplace, it can get really uncomfortable...

we'll be heading to the science center tis time round... i slp in the car during the journey there... haha

we did the usual stuff at the science centre... boring game stalls, tele-matches blah blah... we did watch a show in the omni-theatre... we had our lunch there and head home after tt...

haha.. then i think after saying so much, u must haf had a rought idea abt wat i will be doing when we got home?? haha.. if not, u must haf been not reading my blog properly... go read it again! lolx.. cya

today's my first day of work since my two weeks exams break... haha.. the momentum had gone and i kinda feel blank out... there were changes in the company here and there.... lolx... but my frens were happy to see me though and nvr failed to ask the usual but inevitable question " Hows your paper go?"... haha... those who read my previous blog would noe the ans... hehe...(cos its kinda long) lolx...

back to work, my supervisor welcomed me back... and gave me work right awy... i was like ---> -_-...

the amount of work he gave me managed to keep me occupied for 1 whole day... so time passed very quickly... and DING! 5.45pm!!! knock off time...i promptly bid goodbye to my frens and my supervisor and head for the bus stop... and wat luck! i missed my bus right b4 my eyes (ARGH!) haha.. and reached home by 6.55! jus right for tv! haha then its computer time! i always like log on to the network at night... right now.. i'm listening to my fav radio station, with a bowl of yummy ice cream... wat a pleasure! simply luv it... it is always tis time of the day which made me look forward to it during the day...

haha... and firdaus.. if u r reading tis... not i dun wan to accompany u to gym today... its bcos i haf to WORK... i haf NO TIME to slack at home... so no LAZY FAT is growing PROGRESSIVELY in my body... over 90% of my time i will be WORKING, being a hardworking lad doing his work.. not a COUCH POTATO watching his TV....

haha.. today had my paper... maths paper!! haha.. not too easy and not too hard... hmm still can cope... haha...good... after that... at abt 4 in the afternoon, met up with my fren to make trip down to the saloon's... haha... wat an experience... i got a new hair style and its kinda nice... =) haha.. but i think 12 bucks for tt is still abit "out of shape"... haha get wat i mean?? nvm... after hair cut... went to meet the rest of the grp for a movie.. caught "Harry porter and the prisoner of as.... ah watever" but we got the first row seats.. argh!! we had our necks tilted 45 degrees for the whole of 2hrs++...haha! not a bad movie.. 3 1/2 stars for it!! HA HA... after the show, its 10.30 into the night... we took the NEL to our respective stations... in the train, we did wat we are best in - crapping! we can tok things frm girls with short skirts to trains having cctv in it. lolx... soon its my station...and i got off and home sweet home...

Phew.. finally finished tis blog... damn tired now... slpy! tmr still have to work... sian... human are strange isn't it? nth to do shout "bored"... have to work shout "Boring" haha.. hard to please eh? hahaha, cya

Local Movies... A job well done or a bland pie with a attractive cover??

hi all... as u all know... recently theres a new local movie by our very own Jack neo "The Best Bet"... its abt three bosom buddies... then one of them won 4D and things started to change, straining the bond of the trio...

Obviously, its abt gambling, money and stuff and most importantly life in singapore. i've been thinking "is tt only thing jack neo can take his inspiration frm??" Look at his past productions.. "money no enough", "that one no enough", "i not stupid" and the more recent success "Home run"... apart frm "home run" which made it to the Golden Horse Awards of Taiwan, the remaining productions are wat i called it "unrecognised".

I was happy thst "home run" won a award. but at the same time, i felt sad... the story was taken frm a existing award winning iranian film. so its not so impressive afterall to me... agree? the stories of the other prodctions were abt- yes, you've guessed it-money problems, local education.

And, have u realised that the chararcters in the "unrecognised" films never lacked of gangsters-not those u see in HK films but is the famous SLIPPERS FLAPPING, DYED HAIR, LOUD MOUTHED gangsters. does tt really symbolise most of singaporeans?? u may not agree with me here... heres next... the films have a very colourful usage of dialects... but a dull one...

yes... i dun disagree in creativity.. but you also have to create creatively... right? if u want the films to be marketed to the international market, u cannot be using hokkien-mixed singlish in your films right?? yes hokkien is a very commonly language here but u haf to use it sparingly, right??

last but not least, there are so many artiste in our entertainment circle here... but i cannot believe it that the same actors and actresses keep showing up in the films. why not introduce more of the "talent pool" to the world?? if not they will go to waste... dun u think so???

haha.. the above is opinion based... just comment briefly and give me ur opinions... hehe
